Two huge outdoor music gigs set to take place in Ayr next weekend have been scrapped.
Stunned fans have been left counting the cost after promoters pulled the plug on the dates planned for the Old Racecourse.
Michael Ball and Alfie Boe were due to bring their summer tour to the town for an open air concert on Sunday, July 10.
Fans had shelled out more than £100 for gold plated tickets to watch the world renowned duo.
And just 24 hours earlier, the 26-piece Ibiza Orchestra Experience were due to take to the same stage.
But fans were left in the dark today after receiving word that both events had been ditched at the eleventh hour.
Angry customers took to social media to complain they had been left hundreds of pounds out of pocket - with little sign of an explanation.
Amy Fowler told Ayrshire Live: "I spent around £300 for tickets to the Ibiza event and then saw a four word post on the event's Facebook page last night saying 'cancelled by the promoters'.
"The post itself was so unprofessional and trying to track anyone down for an answer on refunds if proving really difficult."
Another ticket holder told us: "I paid £89 for a seat to the Ball & Boe concert and this is a major disappointment.
"The lack of information or explanation is the most frustrating thing and I just hope I can get my money refunded now."
Event promoters the Liz Hobbs Group have been contacted for comment.
