Micah Richards and Jamie Redknapp have weighed up whether or not Harry Kane must leave Tottenham this summer. The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Spurs lately, with his contract set to expire at the end of next season.
With Kane yet to commit his long-term future to the north London outfit, he's been encouraged to push for an exit in order to finally get his hands on some silverware. Prior to Fabio Paratici's departure, football.london understood that the Italian had been in contact with the striker's entourage to discuss fresh terms.
It's said that Kane is open to discussing an extension but, as it stands, he's yet put pen to paper on a new deal. While the England international is yet to win a trophy, he's certainly covered himself in glory after his goal against Crystal Palace saw him surpass Wayne Rooney as the Premier League's second all-time top goalscorer.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Richards questioned whether Kane would be at the club next season. The former Manchester City and Aston Villa defender said: "He's just amazing. All the noise around Spurs and what they've tried to do and some of the fans and the football they want to play: Harry Kane's remained focused on what he's needed to do and he does what he does best – scoring goals.
"But, there's going to come a time, especially in the summer, where he's going to have to make a decision. Who's the manager going to be there? What are their plans going forward? Because for a player with so much potential and quality to have not won anything – I don't know how he sleeps at night.
"He's an unbelievable talent and he's got nothing to show for it just apart from the goals, which some people would just take a goal. Obviously he's a Spurs legend already and what he's done is absolutely incredible but at the end of your career you want a trophy."
Redknapp outlined Manchester United and Chelsea as two possible destinations for Kane should he choose to leave Tottenham. The former Liverpool midfielder added: "It's going to be a huge summer because if you look at two of the big clubs in the Premier League.
"Obviously we talk about about Manchester United. They struggle without a striker, they need a killer in front of goal – [Anthony] Martial just doesn't work.
"Chelsea are crying out for someone that scores goals. If Pochettino were to go there, the first player he's going to want is obviously someone like Harry Kane so it will be fascinating to see how it plays out. It will be very interesting."
