Micah Parsons was unstoppable on Sunday during the Cowboys’ Week 2 win over the Jets.
The 24-year-old made the afternoon extremely difficult for Zach Wilson as he regularly beat his coverage in order to pressure New York’s quarterback. By the end of the game, Parsons had racked up four tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, and four QB hits.
After Dallas’s second win of the season, Parsons was asked about when he knew he could “take over" the game against New York, to which he gave a perfect one-word answer.
“Monday,” responded Parsons, via Omar Ruiz of the NFL Network.
Me: When did you know you could take over this game?

Parsons suggested he'd been prepared for the matchup with the Jets from the moment the dust settled on the Cowboys’ lopsided season-opening victory against the rival Giants last Sunday. His play on the field backed that up.
The 24-year-old was a nuisance for Wilson and New York’s offensive line all game long, seemingly finding his way into the backfield every time the young quarterback dropped back to pass. He set the tone early with an electrifying sack, and never looked back from there.
He’ll look to maintain his strong start to the ‘23 season in Week 3, when the Cowboys take on the Cardinals.
