Micah Parsons Calls Out Narrative Around CJ Stroud Ahead of NFL Draft

With the NFL draft just days away, there’s been a significant shift in mock drafts across the media landscape and one NFL star called out the falling stock of one top prospect.

Cowboys outside linebacker Micah Parsons took to Twitter on Tuesday and commented on a video where ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III expressed his confusion as to why Ohio State’s CJ Stroud is someone who isn’t a lock in the first two picks of Thursday’s draft.

“It’s no coincidence! They did the same thing with Justin fields!” Parsons said on Twitter. “We see how that turned out lol!”

Fields was one of the best quarterbacks in the country while at Ohio State but fell to the No. 11 spot in the 2021 NFL draft. Now with the Bears, he’s one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL.

All through the 2022 season, Stroud and Alabama’s Bryce Young were considered the two best quarterbacks in the country, and now signs point to Young being selected by the Panthers with the No. 1 pick. But in recent days, rumors have swirled that Kentucky’s Will Levis and Florida’s Anthony Richardson could move up and possibly be taken ahead of Stroud in the first round.

Obviously, Parsons doesn’t buy that the fact that Stroud isn’t a top-two pick this year and thinks the narrative around him isn’t legit. The world will find out where he goes on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
