Once upon a time, before they became respective leaders of the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins, Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa were teammates with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Even with the discussion of an occasional quarterback controversy (mostly from the outside looking in), Hurts and Tagovailoa clearly showed a lot of love and respect for each other even though they played the same position.
Little has changed based on their exchange after Hurts’ Eagles beat Tagovailoa’s Dolphins on Sunday night.
In a new video from Inside the NFL and NFL Films, we learn what Hurts and Tagovailoa told each other amidst their individual and team success. One thing is clear: They remain great friends who obviously keep close tabs on each other.

Folks, it’s simple, but relationships like the one Hurts and Tagovailoa share are special. Alabama’s greatness in the 2010s spurred a brotherhood for many of its alumni. Two of the more important Crimson Tide figures sharing a wholesome moment together as they dazzle at the next level shouldn’t be remotely surprising.
This is what high-class football should be all about.
