Boston Celtics summer center Mfiondu Kabengele is angling to land on a regular-season roster for the 2022-23 season and beyond, and his play with the Sin City Celtics in Las Vegas Summer League has made a very solid case for the Florida State product.
In Boston’s Tuesday night, 103-92 win over the summer iteration of the Golden State Warriors, the Toronto native had yet another strong game for the Celtics. Kabengele put up 20 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks in 28 minutes of floor time, turning the ball over 3 times and fouling 5 times.
While it is not guaranteed he will latch on with the Celtics, it seems probable the Canadian will be on an NBA roster somewhere next season.
