Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced on Friday that Mexico will be sending a team of firefighters and other professionals to Los Angeles to assist in combating the widespread wildfires in the region. The support team will consist of forest firefighters from CONAFOR, Mexico's national forestry agency, and a team from Plan DN3, a division of the Mexican military specializing in handling natural disasters.

Sheinbaum emphasized the importance of providing assistance, citing Mexico's history of generosity and the presence of many Mexicans in the affected area of the United States. California Governor Gavin Newsom confirmed the deployment of Mexican firefighters to the #EatonFire, expressing his gratitude for the support from Mexico.
