Mexican President Sheinbaum Says Mexico Will Make Water Payments To U.S. But Warns 'We Will Not Give Water We Don't Have'

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed that her administration will negotiate with the U.S. to make owed water payments, but clarified: "We will not give water we don't have." "We will not affect Mexicans," she added during a passage of her daily press conference.

Border Report detailed that the two countries reached a deal for "timely repayment" of the water owed that starts with the delivery of 202,000 acre-feet this week.
