Mexican fans try to disrupt sleep of England footballers with drums, music and fireworks

England Football Police

The England football team's hotel was highly protected by police on Saturday (4 July) night as Mexican fans gathered to make noise and disrupt the players' sleep.

Local police installed fences around the hotel and deployed guards to prevent Mexican fans from approaching the hotel, but small groups gathered at the perimeter of the security fence, trying to take pictures and videos of the English players.
