Metro delay in Bengaluru: Only 1 new section may be operational this year

BENGALURU: Namma Metro’s phase-2 project, which missed several deadlines in the past, is likely to further slow down.

According to sources, only one Metro section — 2km Kengeri-Challaghatta section (Purple Line extension) — will be commissioned this year. Even this section, which was earlier expected to be ready by March 2022, will now be completed only by December.
