The family of the “Putney pusher” suspect said he offered to pay for a private DNA test to try to clear his name, as they slammed the Metropolitan Police as “negligent” and “reckless” in its handling of his investigation before his death.
Nicholas Brandram was arrested in June, more than nine years after a jogger shoved a woman headfirst into the path of an oncoming bus on Putney Bridge. He was bailed pending investigation but was named in subsequent media reports.
