Met Police submits Grenfell Tower fire investigation files to CPS

  • Detectives investigating the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire have submitted evidence files regarding 54 individuals and 20 companies to prosecutors.
  • The offences under consideration by the Metropolitan Police include corporate manslaughter, gross negligence manslaughter, misconduct in public office, and fraud.

  • The complex police investigation examined the roles of more than 15,000 people and 700 organisations, producing 12,600 pages of evidence.
  • A public inquiry previously concluded that the fire, which claimed 72 lives, was avoidable and stemmed from decades of failure, greed, and systematic dishonesty.
