A Metropolitan Police officer has been found guilty of gross misconduct for allowing a woman to be strip searched in front male officers without properly considering her “dignity and vulnerability”.

The woman - a passenger in a car stopped by officers - was strip searched and her clothes removed, partially in front of the men, at Lewisham Police Station on May 9, 2020.
