Met Police officer caught exposing himself on Hampstead Heath dismissed

A police officer who was caught exposing himself to another colleague on Hampstead Heath while off-duty has been dismissed.

Dariusz Alexander, 49, a detective constable attached to the Roads and Transport Policing Command, was found guilty of outraging public decency at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on June 22.

The court heard that two police officers were patrolling the north London beauty spot on March 18.

During the patrol, one of the officers noticed Alexander, who was off duty that day, exposing himself.

He was arrested and was suspended from duty with immediate effect.

The Met Police has confirmed that Alexander was struck off following a misconduct hearing on Monday, July 10.

A spokesperson for the Met added: “Detective Constable Dariusz Alexander was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to discreditable conduct.

“The allegations were found proven and they were so serious as to justify dismissal.”
