A Metropolitan Police officer is facing a misconduct hearing over claims he failed to protect a woman before she was murdered by her abusive ex-partner.

Teaching assistant Denise Keane-Simmons, 36, was doused with petrol and set alight by Damion Simmons in the bedroom of her home in Stonebridge, northwest London, on April 16, 2020.
