Met Office weekend weather as Leeds hotter than Madrid

The weather in Leeds this week has been quite good this week and luckily, the sun isn’t going anywhere this weekend.

While it’s not the heatwave weather everyone was expecting, the city is set to be warmer than Madrid especially on Saturday.

The Spanish capital will have highs of 12C on Saturday but in Leeds it will be as high as 15C.

Sunday will have a similar start to the day but by midday there will be light showers in the evening but it will then turn cloudy. Highs of 13C are predicted.

The Met Office weather for Saturday across Yorkshire reads: “Initially rather cloudy, with the odd spot of rain possible. While remaining breezy it should become dry and brighten up for many later. Chilly in coastal districts. Maximum temperature 15 °C.”

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday adds: “Mainly dry, with some brighter spells, although on the cloudy side at times. Winds easing through this period, but temperatures also dipping close to average or perhaps a little below.”
