Met Office weather warning in place for parts of Northern Ireland

A yellow weather warning has come into place for parts of Northern Ireland this evening.

Some disruption to travel is possible and there is the potential for some localised flooding. Forecasters have also warned of a possibility that there may be some interruption to power supplies.

The Met Office weather warning for heavy rain covers parts of Derry, Tyrone and Fermanagh with downpours likely until midnight.

Looking ahead to the weekend, it will remain mainly dry and cloudy in the east while the west will be cloudy with rain, this dying out through the evening. with a maximum temperature 11 °C.

Sunday will remain dry but rather cloudy.
