YELLOW and amber weather warnings have been issued by the Met Office for parts of Scotland on Friday, with flooding in the south of the country likely.
An amber weather warning has been issued for southern Scotland with the forecaster highlighting the risk of flooding across Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders.
The warning is in place from 3am until 12pm.
The Met Office has warned that spray is likely to cause difficult driving conditions while flooding is expected to affect roads, homes and businesses.

Some communities may be cut off by flooding and people have also been warned that fast-flowing floodwater could pose danger to life.
It has also been advised that delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been put in place for Angus, Perth and Kinross, Stirling, Aberdeenshire, Moray, the Highlands, Na h-Eileanan Siar, Argyll and Bute, Inverclyde and West Dunbartonshire.
The warning is in place from the beginning of Friday until 9pm.
The public is being told to expect longer journey times for motorists, buses and trains.
The Met Office says that 5 to 10cm of snow is expected to gather above 200m, with as much as 20 cm possible above 400m.
Meanwhile, a yellow weather warning for rain is in place for central Scotland, Fife, Tayside, south-west Scotland, Lothian, the Borders, Argyll and Bute, Glasgow, Ayrshire, Inverclyde and Renfrewshire.
The warning is in place from midnight until 2pm on Friday.
The forecaster has warned that heavy rain will arrive in the early hours of Friday morning with 20-30mm to fall within a 12-hour period, with 50-70mm possible in a few areas.
A spell of snow will come before the rain over higher ground, especially to the north of the central belt.
Gusts of 55-65mph are also likely around the southwestern coastline.
