The Met Office has warned there is a chance that snow could hit Yorkshire in two weeks' time.
The long-range forecast from the Met Office for the period between Wednesday, March 8, and Wednesday, March 22, says that spells of snow are more likely. They also said that there is a chance that the wintry episodes could become disruptive.
Forecasters are warning that due to a change in wind direction in the north and east, we will see below average temperatures for the month of March. Averages are usually at highs of 9C and lows of 2C.

Towards the end of this month and heading into March, Leeds will see lower temperatures and a period of grey skies. There is no snow forecast for the end of the month but average temperatures will reach around 8C at their maximum.
The long-range forecast for March 8 to March 22 says: "In this period, spells of rain or snow, are more likely than earlier in the month, with a low chance that some wintry episodes could be disruptive, though northwestern areas most likely to see the driest conditions.
"Winds could often be from a northerly or easterly direction, and temperatures are more likely to be below-average than above-average overall, but later in the month, colder air will be fighting against a strengthening sun."
Thursday and Friday in Leeds will see sunny spells with temperatures still low but clear skies forecast. As we approach the end of the month, grey clouds will set in for the majority of the day with temperatures continuing to drop, in Leeds, temperatures will reach as low as 3C in some parts.
From Saturday until Tuesday, the end of the month, grey skies will take over and temperatures will be no higher than 9C. There is no rain forecast but overcast skies could bring some showers. The Met Office forecast for the rest of the week across the county is as follows:
Tonight:
Most likely a cloudy start to the evening but some clearer spells developing towards midnight. A few showers possible, mainly towards the coast. Feeling cold with a frost developing Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Thursday:
Plenty of sunshine around Thursday but one or two showers are possible in the morning. Winds generally light but feeling breezy towards the coast at times. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Cloud and rain Friday morning soon clears to give sunny spells and a few light showers, these conditions then continue over the weekend. Breezy at times with patchy overnight frosts.
