The Met Office has predicted more sunshine and warm temperatures for Merseyside this weekend.
After blue skies and bright days for the Bank Holiday last weekend, Liverpool is expected to be warmer than the Spanish capital of Madrid over the next few days. The Met Office predicts plenty of sunny spells and minimal rain.
Forecasters expect Liverpool to experience higher temperatures on Saturday and Sunday than parts of Spain. The mercury is set to rise to 16C here, while Madrid will see highs of 15C.

The warmest part of the weekend looks to be around 3pm on Saturday (April 23), with sunny skies and no rain expected. However, the forecast looks fairly similar across both days of the weekend.
Sunday afternoon and evening take an exception to this, with some cloud forecast. Though it is set to stay warm and dry.
Here is the full forecast for Saturday and Sunday (April 23 and 24):
Saturday is expected to be mostly dry, with highs of 16C and some sunny spells. The "odd light shower is possible for a time early afternoon", according to the Met Office, but forecasters put the chance of rain falling at less than 5%.
Sunday will be similar, though breezy. Again, there could be the odd light shower, and some cloud in the afternoon and early evening. Highs of 15C
