The MET office has confirmed that there will be "some good spells on sunshine" for Nottinghamshire over the Easter weekend. Spring has officially begun, and the warmer weather is set to continue over the weekend with highs of 15C being reached.
This will allow for plenty of chances for residents to enjoy the sunshine and some time outdoors across the Bank holiday. According to the MET Office forecast, Friday, April 7, will see highs of 13C with sunny intervals throughout the day.
Whilst the weather will remain rather cloudy from Saturday, April 8, until Monday, April 9, there will be highs of 14C reached, including 15C on Easter Sunday. Regarding the upcoming weekend, a MET office spokesperson said: "It’ll be a dry and fine Easter weekend for Nottinghamshire, with high pressure to the east helping to repel any persistent rain and ensure some good spells of sunshine through the weekend.
"It’s a similar pattern from Good Friday through to Sunday, with patchy cloud and some good spells of sunshine possible in Nottinghamshire. Temperatures are expected to build slightly through the weekend, possibly peaking on Sunday at around 15C, though the precise figure is fairly uncertain at this range.
"As we move into Easter Monday, there’s some uncertainty on how far approaching fronts from the west will move into England, so this will continue to be looked at as the forecast develops."
