Sunshine is expected across Nottingham over the next week, with temperatures comfortably staying in the high twenties. On Saturday, June 10, the city will reach highs of 29C making it hotter than many overseas destinations, including Ibiza.
The UK will see sunny spells across the country, but the Met Office has also warned of potential thunderstorms. A yellow weather warning has been issued for Saturday, June 10, stating: "Whilst many places will be largely dry, thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail are likely to develop in some places on Saturday afternoon."
This warning has been issued to the entire UK, and not Nottinghamshire specifically, and will remain in place from 2pm until 9pm. The Met Office states: "Turning more unsettled Sunday and Monday, with a mixture of sunshine and showers, locally heavy and thundery at times. Fewer showers on Tuesday. Warm nights and very warm by day."
