Temperatures are set to plummet in the UK next week as the Met Office warns that snow is on the horizon. Weather forecasters are expecting up to 10cm of snow to fall and there are fears of strong blizzards in some parts of the country.
Yesterday the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning covering the north of the country, which is set to take effect on Wednesday. Experts predict between 2cm and 5cm of snow to settle in lower areas, rising to 10cm at higher levels.
The upcoming weather could likely cause travel chaos with snow combined with strong northernly winds and blizzard conditions, reports The Mirror.
