The Met Office predicts plenty of warmer days ahead across the North East as the week rolls by, with the UKHSA even issuing a rare heat health alert across the entirety of Great Britain.
This week looks to remain bright and warm for the North East, with non-stop sunshine across Newcastle and its surrounding areas on Wednesday. Highs of 21C are anticipated in the region, as well as calmer lows of 13C.
But the glorious weather doesn't arrive without its kickers - with very high UV and pollen counts present according to the Met Office. Thursday meanwhile will kick off partially cloudy in the morning, but the sun will once again break through come 10am, and shine on until day's end.
