Met Office gives exact details for how cold it will get where you live and when

Freezing temperatures have been forecast for Wales this week with weather warnings for ice in force. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice for most of Wales from 5pm on Wednesday, December 7 to 6pm on Thursday, December 8.

And it is expected to be so cold that the forecaster has even said there could be some snow on higher ground. The forecaster had previously issued a warning for Thursday, December 8, however this has now been brought forward to Wednesday.

The warning has been updated to reduce it across Northern Ireland and Wales, and add an area across parts of south-west England. It now reads: "Frequent wintry showers will spread into Northern Ireland through the early hours of Thursday then on to Wales, parts of western and northwestern England, and parts of Southwest England.
