Met Office confirms UK mini-heatwave forecast with date

The UK could get up to three weeks of warmer weather thanks to a high-pressure ridge. After a rainy April and the start of May, sun lovers will be hoping to get outdoors a little more over the next few months.

Now, Brits are set for weeks of glorious sunny weather, with the mercury nudging 20C thanks to a high-pressure ridge. The mini heat wave is expected to last three weeks and begin this week, reports the Mirror

The recent grey skies and lower-than-normal temperatures for the time of year most of the country has experienced will be replaced by sunshine and temperatures of up to 20C. And we can expect these welcome spring conditions from Friday, May 19, according to the Met Office, with people across Nottinghamshire expected to enjoy better weather the weekend.
