Khloe Kardashian stunned in gold as she finally attended the Met Gala after being shunned for years.
The Kardashians star, 37, has never been invited to the prestigious fashion bash in New York, with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour reportedly branding her too C-list to attend, despite Khloe’s sisters Kim, Kendall and Kylie - and even mum Kris Jenner - being invited over the years.
This year’s event saw the mum-of-one score a coveted invite to party alongside the Hollywood and fashion elite, as Vogue icon and event organiser Anna relented, and welcomed all of the Kardashian/Jenner women to the Met for the first time ever.
Khloe hit the red carpet on Monday in a stunning gold beaded gown, created by Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott, which featured a semi-sheer skirt which gave onlookers a glimpse of her enviably toned legs.
The gold fringe on the gown complimented Khloe’s incredible figure, as the reality star has been working hard in her at-home gym to get in shape for the annual soiree.
She accessorised the dress with a structured black shawl which was draped around one of her shoulders and nestled in the crook of her arm, and Khloe finished the look with a pair of nude heels, black gloves, and gold sunglasses, which she later removed when she walked the red carpet.
Her make-up was glamorous but minimal, as she opted for a subdued nude lip, and her blonde hair was poker straight with a chic quiff at the front.
Speaking on the red carpet, Khloe said the look was put together “in 10 days”, and said she was keen to get inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art to kick start the festivities.
“I need a glass of champagne so that's what I'm mainly looking forward to,” she joked to La La Anthony, who was serving as the host of Vogue's red carpet live stream.
And Khloe wasn’t the only member of her family to score their first ever invitation to the fashion bash - big sister Kourtney Kardashian also made her Met Gala debut, alongside fiancé Travis Barker.
The 43-year-old hit the red carpet wearing matching Thom Browne skirts with the drummer, and she later confessed she hadn’t paid attention to the ‘Gilded Age’ theme of the bash.
Kourtney opted for a cropped white button-down blouse and undone tie for the occasion, and she said her outfit was a "deconstructed" version of Travis' look.
