The Met Gala has been and gone for another year with a host of celebrities taking to the red carpet to show off their looks and latest fashion trends.
Held in New York City on Monday night (May 1), the Met Gala returned in style to pay homage to this year's theme which celebrates Karl Lagerfield.
From Lizzo to the Kardashians, celebrities were out in full force with Scots star James McAvoy among those who posed for photos alongside his wife Lisa Liberati.

The 44-year-old looked dapper as he opted for a black suit, bejewelled black tie and a white waistcoat and shirt, finishing off the look with a black foldable hand fan.
As the late creative director of Chanel, Lagerfeld was known for carrying a small fan with him, and McAvoy sure captured this legacy.
But when it came to Scotland, the X-Men actor wasn't the only one to represent our country with A$AP Rocky sporting a kilt.
Standing alongside singer, Rihanna, the parents-to-be turned fashionably late with A$AP shocking fans by sneaking through the crowd and hopping a barricade outside of The Carlyle Hotel ahead of the renowned event, reports the Daily Record.
Recreating an iconic Karl Lagerfeld look, he donned a red tartan kilt, a thick black belt, white button-down, a black tie and a perfectly tailored blazer- however, unsurprisingly the stylish star put his own touch on the look, laying the kilt over a pair of baggy jeans.
The pregnant Umbrella singer also turned heads as she arrived wearing a floral white dress by Valentino., complete with a coat made of white fabric roses and sunglasses that had their very own eyelashes.
