The Metropolitan Police firearms officer cleared of murdering gangster Chris Kaba will face a gross misconduct hearing and could be sacked, following a review by the force’s watchdog described as “frankly nonsensical”.

Sgt Martyn Blake, 41, shot dead Chris Kaba in Streatham after he drove at officers in an attempt to smash his way out of a roadblock in September 2022.
