Storm Dudley is set to hit land overnight - with Ireland bracing itself for "damaging" winds mixed in with heavy rain showers.
A yellow craft warning is already in effect on Tuesday as gusts are to reach gale force 8, but that's only the start of it in terms of wild weather.
On Wednesday morning, westerly winds associated with Storm Dudley will reach mean speeds of 50 – 65km/h with damaging gusts of 80 – 110km/h, stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground.
And that's not all, because the latest update from Met Eireann warns that a combination of high tide and strong winds will lead to flooding on exposed coasts,
Tuesday evening will see cloud increase with persistent or heavy rain developing in the west & spreading eastwards to all areas through the late afternoon and evening.
A status yellow wind warning comes into effect for the entire island on Wednesday afternoon, with the Republic facing the storm from midday, while the North sees the warning come into place from 3pm.
Two counties in particular are in big danger, with the UK Met Office issuing an amber warning for Antrim and Derry.
They warn: "Storm Dudley is expected to affect the UK later on Wednesday, bringing a period of very strong and disruptive winds."
The worst of the storm should clear by Thursday, but just when things look like they're going to clear, we'll be hit with another tropical event in the form of Storm Eunice.
She will bring strong winds, heavy rain and some snow through Thursday night & Friday morning, according to the experts in the Met Eireann office.
Batten down the hatches!
