Met Eireann have issued a new Status Yellow wind warning for five areas today with strong gusts expected.
The alert is valid for all of Leinster as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Tipperary, Waterford and remains in place from 2pm until 7pm on Tuesday.
A forecaster said: "Becoming very windy or squally for a time today with isolated thunderstorms possible."

Meanwhile, a second Status Yellow weather warning for heavy rain was in place overnight for all of Munster and Galway on Tuesday.
Met Eireann’s alert, which expires at 3pm today, reads: “Spells of rain overnight and on Tuesday will be heavy at times leading to spot flooding”.
This comes as a low-pressure system begins to merge over Ireland - bringing harsh conditions with it as rain, hail, low temperatures, and high winds arrive for many areas during the week.
As for next weekend, the Irish forecasters have predicted that things are set to get a lot colder, with even the chance of snow.
A Met Eireann forecaster said the weekend will be "rather windy and cold with a wind chill factor. Spells of rain will be followed later by wintry showers."
Ireland is in for a very wet day on Tuesday as "blustery rain" will be widespread across the country - with the widespread possibility of spot flooding.
The rain will clear into the Irish Sea during the evening, with clear spells and showers following from the west. It will be quite mild however, with highest temperatures of 10C to 13C.
Tuesday night will be cold and blustery with clear spells and scattered showers - most frequent over the western half of the country with the chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail. Lowest temperatures of 2C to 6C are expected in fresh southwesterly winds.
Wednesday will be a windy and showery day with rain turning heavy as isolated thunderstorms and hail are possible too. Strong and gusty westerly winds are expected alongside highest temperatures of 5C to 9C.
Thursday will be a "dull and damp" day clearing to the east in the morning. Any dry spells will be short-lived as some passing blustery showers will move over the country from the west to the east in the afternoon, with some turning to hail.
Thursday night will then see a mix of clear spells and scattered showers, some possibly heavy in western areas with the potential for hail and isolated thunderstorms.
The lowest temperatures will drop to between 2C and 6C in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.
Friday is expected to turn windy once again with blustery showers and fresh and gusty westerly winds.
