Met Eireann has forecast a dry and mild day to begin the week but has warned there will be "changeable and generally unsettled" weather in the days ahead.
Today will be will be generally cloudy with some patchy drizzle but much of the southern half of the country will have a dry day.
There will be highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees.
Tonight will have a lot of dry weather with just a few spots of drizzle. There will be lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees.
Met Eireann have forecast tomorrow to be a "breezy, dull day with many areas overcast".
There will be highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees with fresh to strong westerly winds.
For the rest of the week, Met Eireann warned conditions will be changeable and generally unsettled with overall mild weather.
They said weather will turn cold for a time later this week.
Wednesday will start with a decent amount of dry weather and will be generally cloudy, with occasional brighter periods.
There will be highest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southwest winds.
Thursday will see rain turn heavy at times. It will become windier and may be squally at times as southwest winds increase fresh to strong and gusty.
Highs of 9 to 12 degrees, occurring early in the day. Winds will veer westerly later as drier, clearer and colder weather develops in the north and west.
