Met Eireann's long-range forecast has given the first glimpse at what weather we can realistically expect on Christmas Day.
While there is still a large amount of uncertainty four weeks out, forecasters have given no indication of a white Christmas this year.
On Christmas week it is expected to be drier than normal in Ireland, with "rainfall is indicated to be below average".
