It is another washout of a week this week for Ireland.
According to Met Eireann’s forecast for the rest of the week, including the weekend, the rain will dominate the days coming. Except for Tuesday, when there will be occasional “hazy sunshine”, every day will bring outbreaks of rain - getting worse as the week goes on.
Despite the washout though, temperatures are slowly increasing to summer levels, with the highest temperatures reaching 17C. Here is Ireland’s forecast for the week ahead.
Tuesday
Mostly dry today with spells of hazy sunshine developing. Cloud will build across Connacht and Munster later in the afternoon and evening, bringing patchy outbreaks of rain or drizzle to Atlantic coastal areas.
