THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State sports minister V Abdurahiman on Wednesday assured football fans that Argentina’s national team, including Lionel Messi, will play two friendlies in the state next year, but stopped short of making a formal announcement.
Representatives of the Argentina Football Association (AFA) will visit the state within six weeks to finalise the trip, Abdurahiman said. "It is not right on my part to make a formal announcement. That will be done by AFA,” he told a media interaction at the state secretariat.
