Messages of support have flooded in following Cheryl Korbel's emotional plea for information more than two weeks on from her daughter's murder.
The appeal was published yesterday (Tuesday, September 6) in the hope of people coming forward with information about the unknown gunman who fatally shot Olivia Pratt-Korbel who stood behind her mum in their home on Kingsheath Avenue in Dovecot on Monday, August 22.
Olivia's killer was trying to force his way into the nine-year-old's home in his pursuit of 35-year-old Joseph Nee who had stormed into the home when Cheryl had opened the door after she hear loud bangs outside before the gunman opened fire, first hitting the mum in the wrist, with the same bullet fatally hitting Olivia in the chest.

He then opened fire on Nee twice before running away. Since the murder, six people have been arrested in connection to the murder, with all six being bailed. People have now issued messages of support and praise for the mum who held back floods of tears when she spoke in front of camera for the first time since her daughter's death.
Channy Chew said: "Absolutely so heartbreaking for this poor lady it’s time now someone gives up the name [of] the person who done this no mother should have to go through this.
"You wouldn’t like it if it was your child, mum, dad, sister or brother etc so speak up and let’s get justice for this beautiful woman and family and especially for beautiful Olivia. We need this person off the street so [this] doesn't happen again we need to keep our streets safe."
Donna Navarro wrote: "Absolutely devastating for this poor woman, she now joins the club of strong, scouse mums fighting for justice for their child. Sending all the love to her and her family at this extremely difficult time."
Linda Jones said: "Brave lady, brave Mummy who deserves so much more. Devastating for her to lose her baby girl at the hands of some indiscriminate criminal."
Tony Tipping said: "Totally gut-wrenching. I thought after a career in the Police I had a hard shell. This smashed my heart.
"Let's hope that get justice for this brave lady."
John Cook said: "This is heartbreaking, the Merseyside underworld need to ditch any code of honour that they like to uphold, we are talking about an innocent nine-year-old girl here who was brutally killed, her parents need some form of closure so please if anyone knows any information that can progress the case I implore them to forward it to the relevant authorities."
