Kristensen’s compatriots

Meslier’s unlikely advisor

Rutter’s warm welcome
As is customary, United’s latest new signing was given a very warm welcome by the home faithful on his trot out down the touchline. Georginio Rutter was named among the substitutes, but when he did come out for a warm-up in front of the John Charles Stand there was generous applause.
Toney’s inevitable ribbing
It took a long time in coming on Sunday afternoon, but Ivan Toney, whose been in the headlines for all the right and wrong reasons this season, got rinsed by the Leeds faithful. Toney has been charged with more than 250 alleged breaches of betting rules by The Football Association.
That’s food and drink for vocal opposition supporters. “Toney, what’s the odds?” was the opening number deep into the second period and once the striker went into the book for a foul we soon heard “Got a tenner on a yellow card.”
