The ECHO has taken a look at an oasis on the Merseyside coastline, which is steeped in history and the setting of some of the city's most stunning properties.
Beach Lawn in Waterloo is a stone's throw from the beach and overlooks Crosby Coastal Park.
It's arguably one of the most serene residential roads in the whole of Merseyside and is still within walking distance from the best bars and restaurants Crosby and Waterloo have to offer.

Despite its size, the small stretch is dripping with history, and pretty much all the homes there are Grade II-listed. One even has links to one of the most infamous maritime disasters of the 20th century.
Thomas Henry Ismay, founder of the White Star Line, lived at 13 Beach Lawn.
The house was the childhood home of Thomas' eldest son Joseph, known as Bruce, who went on to become chairman of the White Star Line and commissioned the build of the Titanic, which tragically sunk while crossing the Atlantic in 1912.
The property has since been transformed into two apartments and is advertised as Beach Lawn House on Booking.com.
Aberley House is another guest house which operates from 14 Beach Lawn and is owned by Jonathan Farrer. He opened its doors in 2019.
Speaking to the ECHO last year, Jonathan said: "We came up over these dunes and just saw this terrace of houses and we were absolutely knocked out by it. It was love at first sight. It’s just so beautiful.
"It wasn’t planned at all that we would buy it. It was just we drove past a couple of times and then we saw a for sale sign and it just all happened."
Other protected properties on Beach Lawn include numbers one through to 17, and even the gatepiers and boundary walls are Grade II-listed.
Number 17 Beach Lawn is thought to be the first house in the country to have central heating.
In September, 17 Beach Lawn was sold at auction for £400,000, an absolute bargain considering the area. Known as Mockbeggar House, the property was built in the 19th century for Dr John Drysdale.
Five properties changed hands on Beach Lawn in 2021, with houses fetching between £1.05m and £1.22m, while flats there were sold for between £116,000 and £250,000.
