A Mercedes driver was spotted weaving across a motorway before police found him with a half-empty bottle of Gordon's gin.
Merseyside Police confirmed a 47-year-old man from Essex was arrested after a Mercedes was seen unable to follow the variable speed limit on the M62, breaking unnecessarily and weaving across the carriageway at around 9.30pm on Monday, February 13.
When the car was pulled over by officers it was found that the driver failed a breath test and tested positive for cannabis.

The driver was taken to custody, with an open bottle of Mediterranean orange-flavoured Gordons gin also found in the car.
Posting on the Roads Policing Unit Twitter page, Merseyside Police said: "The driver of this Mercedes failed to adhere to the variable speed limit, was braking unnecessarily and weaving about on the M62 earlier. No surprise that he failed a breath test & tested positive for cannabis.
"He blew over in custody & will be charged in the morning"
Following the post, the force confirmed the man arrested was a 47-year-old from Essex.
