Police are appealing for information after a man died following a crash near Liverpool yesterday (17 July). Emergency services were called to Huyton, Merseyside around 8pm, to reports of a collision involving a black Mercedes at Junction 6 of the M62.
Merseyside Police confirmed the driver, a man in his 30s, passed away. Sergeant Steve Smith, from Merseyside Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “An investigation is ongoing after a man sadly died following a collision on the M62 last night, and our thoughts and condolences are very much with the family.
"The next of kin of the driver has been informed and is being supported by specialist family liaison officers. We would ask any drivers in the area who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward.

"Any footage, or information, could be vital in establishing what happened.”
