Mercedes-Benz has never been short of SUVs, but the GLB has always had one particularly easy job to explain: it’s the upright, family-focused one – bigger and boxier than a GLA, more compact than the larger luxury SUVs and designed to squeeze in a third row of seats without turning into something that feels like a minibus.
