Three men have been charged with smashing a window in the southern Sydney home of anti-racism activist Padraic Gibson, with police saying the attack was ideologically motivated.
Detectives from the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team arrested a 32-year-old Ryde man and a 38-year-old Elderslie man on Wednesday.
Both men were charged with affray, stalking and intimidating with the intention to cause fear of physical harm.
Police will allege in court the men attacked Mr Gibson's Arncliffe home on the night of December 4 in an "ideologically motivated incident" due to his "political and ideological beliefs".
The older man was refused bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Thursday.
A 30-year-old man, also allegedly involved in the attack, was charged last month and was granted strict conditional bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on May 24.
The NSW JCTT is comprised of several law-enforcement agencies including the Australian Federal Police and Australian Security Intelligence Organisation.
Mr Gibson called the vandals "Nazis" for their alleged white supremacist extremist affiliations.
"This terrifying attack on our family house demonstrates how vigilant everyone needs to be about the threat of the far-right," said Mr Gibson, who is an advocate for Indigenous and labour rights, on Thursday.
"It's good to see these arrests.
"This violent network of racist thugs poses a clear danger to anyone who doesn't conform to their fantasy of white Australia and must be shut down."
ASIO said in 2020 that far-right violent extremism makes up around 40 per cent of its counter-terrorism caseload.
