A car was abandoned in the middle of the street after a police chase through Liverpool.
Merseyside Police were in pursuit of a grey Ford Mondeo in the Everton area at around 3.40pm on Friday, July 1. The men driving the car led police on a chase until they abandoned it in the middle of Breck Road, at the junction of Breckfield Road South at around 3.45pm.
Merseyside Police said the men in the car fled the vehicle on foot and officers closed a section of the road as they tried to find them. Officers were seen talking to a number of witnesses and business owners in the area and making enquiries.

Police are still searching for the men and the Ford Mondeo was removed from the road by a recovery truck. Breck Road has now reopened.
Police were not able to confirm why they requested the car to stop. No injuries were reported to police.
