Melbourne Fashion Week is turning 30 and hometown musical hero G-Flip has been brought in to close the party.
With the theme 'You're Invited', the sartorial showcase will feature more than 300 designers and 300 retailers across more than 100 events and sessions from October 21 to 27.
This year's designers will include Aje, ALPHA60, Bec + Bridge, Clothing the Gaps, Erik Yvon, Grace Lillian Lee, INJURY, J'Aton, MAARA Collective, Mariam Seddiq, nevenka, Ngali, Oroton, Rebecca Vallance and Reigner.
Pop-up runaways will appear across the city during the week and industry experts will discuss inclusivity and the business of fashion in the conversations program.
The student collections runway and awards make a return, hosted among the projections at The Lume.
Home-grown talent continues to be the focus, with more than 85 per cent of participating designers, stylists, models, students and retailers from Melbourne.
Event ambassador G-Flip will round out the week with a performance as part of the closing showcase at Melbourne Town Hall.
Pre-sale tickets went on sale Monday and general tickets are available from Tuesday.
