Melania Trump has commended her son, Barron Trump, for encouraging the President-elect to appear on widely known podcasts, boosting his popularity amongst Gen Z voters.
The incoming first lady referred to her son as "incredible" when speaking about how Barron advised his father, Donald Trump, to appear on multiple podcasts, including Joe Rogan's, Theo Von's and Adin Ross' as elections approached in an interview with Fox & Friends.
"I'm very proud of [Barron] about his knowledge, about politics, and giving advice to his father," Melania Trump said at the interview on Friday morning.
"He knows nowadays the younger generation, they don't sit in front of TV anymore. They are all on the tablets, they're on the phones and all of these podcasts and streamers," she added.
"He was very vocal, and he gave advice to his father. And it was incredible how he brought in success, because he knew exactly who his father needed to contact and to talk to."
Barron also received praise from a senior advisor to the Trump campaign, Jason Miller, who commended him for directing his father's internet presence.
"Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do," Miller told Politico's Playbook Deep Dive podcast. "I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he's had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that's broken the internet."
Trump made significant gains among younger voters, particularly among Gen Z voters, during this election cycle. Over 40 percent of voters under 30 backed Trump in November, a sharp increase from about one-third in 2020, according to AP News' VoteCast Polling.
