But the event also offered a glimpse into how the first lady is using her office: with a policy agenda that increasingly reaches beyond the traditional ceremonial duties associated with the role.
At the centre of Tuesday’s gathering was Fostering the Future Together, the international coalition Melania Trump launched in 2025 to promote children’s well-being through education, technology and innovation.
