As part of the Russell Wilson trade, the Denver Broncos sent their first- and second-round draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason.
In his latest two-round NFL mock draft for ESPN (subscription required for link), draft analyst Mel Kiper has the Seahawks using those picks to select Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal (No. 9) and Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Rider (No. 40).
The Broncos do have a second-round pick thanks to the Von Miller trade from last year, and Kiper has them using it to land a Noah Fant replacement.
Denver selects Colorado State tight end Trey McBride at No. 64 overall in Kiper’s mock. McBride caught 90 passes for 1,121 yards and one touchdown last season. Before last year, McBride hauled in four touchdown passes in each of his two previous seasons (10 total in four years).
Washington State offensive tackle Abraham Lucas (No. 56), Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker (No. 57) and Montana State linebacker Troy Andersen (No. 58) are among the players who go off the board before the Broncos go on the clock in the bottom of the second round.
The NFL draft will be held in Las Vegas from April 28-30.
