Mel B's lookalike daughter Phoenix, 22, lands spot on upcoming ITV reality show

Mel B's lookalike daughter Phoenix Chi has landed a spot on an upcoming ITV reality show.

The 22-year-old, who is the former Spice Girl’s eldest child, will take part in The Real 2022 Games' that will see famous faces take on Olympic events.

The celebrities will be coached and trained by professionals, and will face off against each other as they aim to top the medals table and be crowned champion.

Phoenix, the daughter of Mel and ex Jimmy Gulzar, has her mother’s full support, and is looking forward to challenging herself on the show.

“She has done some small TV stuff before but this is her first major show and will see her really come into her own. Phoenix is tough, like Mel, and is really looking forward to pushing herself,” a source told The Sun.

It’s also been reported that Mark Wright, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith and Christine McGuinness are set to take part in the show.

The Real Games was announced in 2020, with Holly Willoughby and Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff set to host, and former England footballer Alex Scott, as well as commentator and pundit Chris Kamara, signing up for presenting duties too.

There will be 12 competitors - six male and six female - who will battle it out in athletics, swimming and gymnastics.

“Each will put their sporting prowess to the test in events, from the 100-metre sprint to doubles diving, racking up points on the medals table,” according to ITV.

“As well as live coverage of the events, each episode will feature the celebrities' preparation, their gruelling training programme leading up to the competition as they aim to reach their peak physical condition.

“As the medals table takes shape with each episode, the series will culminate in an exhilarating final show in which the overall winner will be crowned,” they added.

Filming was due to begin in March last year, but was paused amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and subsequent restrictions put in place to limit spreading the virus.

Former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas, and Love Island star Tommy Fury were also rumoured to be taking part.
