A healthcare technology company has secured £320,000 to enable it to expand its services to more hospitals.
Birmingham-based Capri Healthcare is a software development company specialising in digital patient referral and automated triage services.
Its main product aims to allow clinicians from various healthcare fields to easily raise referrals to any provider, including secondary, tertiary and community services, via a website and mobile app.
Capri Healthcare said 750 clinicians across 19 NHS Trusts in the Midlands were currently using its software in medical fields such as plastic surgery, ophthalmology and rheumatology. The company was founded in 2019 by directors Krishna Thakur and Valleesh Athreya.
Mr Athreya said: "The investment will enable us to realise the NHS digital-first strategy through innovation and transformation in both public and private healthcare, ensuring timely and patient-centred care for all."
The round of funding was provided by part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, managed by Midven.
