Meghan Markle 'snapped' at a close friend who tried to warn her about dating Prince Harry, an author has claimed.
In his new book, 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors'', the author spoke to more than 80 people who know Meghan and Harry.
He didn't speak to the pair directly, with the Duchess of Sussex said to be 'dreading' the book's publication.
The book covers Meghan and Harry's early life, and their romantic journey - and eventual split from the Royal Family.
In one dramatic chapter, Bower claims Meghan had a very no-nonsense approach when a friend tried to warn her about the reality of royal life.

Over lunch with talent manager and former friend Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne in 2016, Meghan spilled on her love life after meeting Harry a few months earlier.
Bower claims that Gina foresaw issues and asked Meghan if she had 'any idea what she was doing', given that Harry was thinking about marriage.
He wrote that the talent agent warned the actress she 'wouldn't be able to make any more movie' with her priority set to become royal life instead.
But Meghan wasn't impressed, claims Bower, writing: "Gina, save it,’ Meghan snapped. Nelthorpe-Cowne was taken aback by the steel in Meghan’s voice.
"Holding up her hand, Meghan continued: ‘Stop. Be quiet. I don’t want to hear any negativity. This is a happy time for us.’ Stopped in her tracks, Nelthorpe-Cowne looked at the hard fury in Meghan’s eyes."
On May 19, 2018, Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Prince Harry in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Despite rumours of a growing rift between the two couples, Prince William was best man, as Harry was for his wedding in 2011.
Speaking about her fairytale wedding day, Meghan told Oprah: "It was like having an out of body experience that I was very present for. That's the only way I can describe it.
"The night before, I slept through the night entirely, which is a bit of a miracle. When I woke up, I started listening to that song Going to the Chapel, and just tried to make it fun and light and remind ourselves that this was our day.
"But I think we were both really aware, even in advance of that, this wasn't our day.
"This was the day that was planned for the world."
Meghan added she went into the Royal Family "naively" because she did not know anything about them, and claimed she did not do any research on Harry.
She added: "I've never looked up my husband online. I just didn't feel a need to because everything that I needed to know, he was sharing with me. Everything that we thought I needed to know, he was telling me."
Tom Bower's book: 'Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors' by Blink Publishing will be published on July 21.
